Tom Crump is a visual artist currently based in Leicester, UK. His work often blurs the boundaries between Fine Art and Documentary photography, but always deals with the human experience.
He started photography at the age of 3, when he was first given a disposable camera to distract him from annoying his parents. He became fascinated with the process of creating images, and was soon going through several rolls of film every week.
Then at the age of 16, after over a decade of passionately enjoying this hobby, he took an A Level course in Photography, which only further cemented his interest in a photographic career.
He then went to De Montfort University to study Photography and Video, where he achieved a 2:1 and his photographic knowledge blossomed. There he met esteemed practitioners such as Paul Hill, Martin Shakeshaft and Neil Dyson.
He is currently studying for his Master's Degree in the Arts, also at De Montfort University.
